Q & A
I cant tell whether this has just one or both of the curb brushes on a street sweeper which are primarily called gutter brooms or side brooms. These circular, high-speed brushes are located on the sides of the sweeper, extending to agitate and dislodge dirt, leaves, and debris from the curb and gutter into the path of the main broom or vacuum. I could only see one on the passenger side. Is there one on the drivers side? 05/09/2026 12:49:09 PM
It has brushes on both sides, the unit was completely in operation when parked 05/11/2026 12:56:27 PM
who is the manufacturer of the pony motor that powers the sweeper. (not asking about the engine that propels the truck) 05/09/2026 12:54:45 PM
It is a John Deere diesel 05/11/2026 12:55:31 PM
The Tymco 600 utilizes a separate auxiliary engine to power the massive air blower. Operating two diesel engines simultaneously on one chassis creates a massive heat load. Because the Ford 6.6L main engine is highly prone to blowing head gaskets when hot, crawling at 5 mph with minimal ram-air flow through the radiator creates a high risk of catastrophic engine failure. Did this truck ever overheat? 05/19/2026 10:35:24 AM
unknown it has been parked for 5 years 05/19/2026 10:45:59 AM
you say that the truck has sat for several years. When was it last fully operational? 05/19/2026 10:36:00 AM
3 years ago 05/19/2026 10:44:58 AM
Have you attempted to start the engines? Jump start them? Did they crank? 05/19/2026 10:37:23 AM
this started when jumped 05/19/2026 10:43:25 AM
why did you mount the Tymco on the Ford L7000? according to Tymco, this is not ideal. can we get a picture of the batteries in this truck for the engine that's under the hood? It's an important consideration in establishing my bid. The Ford 6.6L Main Engine Battery Setup The 1991 Ford LN7000 chassis requires heavy cranking power to turn over the high-compression 6.6L inline-six diesel engine, especially in cold weather. Battery Type: Group 31 Commercial Batteries. Quantity: 2 or 3 batteries wired together in parallel (maintaining a standard 12-volt system but multiplying the cranking amps). Specifications: Look for Group 31 batteries with "Stud Terminals" (Group 31S) or "Post Terminals" (Group 31T), offering at least 950 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) per battery. These are housed in a dedicated battery box frame-mounted underneath the driver-side cab step 05/19/2026 10:46:03 AM
I apologize i cannot 05/19/2026 16:48:29 PM
What is the John Deere Auxiliary Engine Battery Setup? The John Deere engine powering the Tymco 600 blower system has its own independent 12-volt starting and charging system, including its own alternator and battery. Which battery type is being used? Battery Type: Group 24 or Group 27 Heavy-Duty Equipment Battery. a picture would be helpful. Has anybody tried to start the blower motor since it was last operated on the streets? 05/19/2026 10:48:58 AM
