Roughly 18 boxes of Tamlite replacement ballast kits (250, watt MH quad tap) that includes the ballast, compactor, capacitor, brackets, starter, lamp, porcelain lamp socket, wire nuts and other hardware.


3 boxes of Motorola cut radios, model HSN4031B. Each box has roughly 15 units.

Pickup instructions:

Please check in with Zach at the Public Works Administration Building 1, who will help guide you to the items. If you’re arriving via Eubanks Road, turn right at the stop sign; the visitor parking lot will be on your left. The item(s) are stored in a surplus warehouse. Please schedule a time with Zach so he can ensure proper room to maneuver the item out of the warehouse.


Sold as-is and where is. The buyer is responsible for all costs, labor, and equipment to remove the item.

· Bidders can inspect these items prior to bidding. All public inspection is done by appointment only.

· Individuals scheduling appointments will call to confirm appointments and be asked screening questions prior to them arriving. Any yes answers would result in a rescheduling appointment.

· No appointment will be allowed in the facility.

· Any person other than the buyer is required to show an Authorization of Release Form (attached) signed by the buyer and giving permission for the asset to be released.



The Town of Chapel Hill makes no assurances about the items that are offered for sale at auction. All items are sold as-is-where-is. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect items before bidding.


If the winning bidder will be sending a third party to pick up the asset in their stead, they must fill out the attached Authorization of Release form, along with the Bill of Sale and return it to Lenore Bishop at lbishop@townofchapelhill.org with a copy of their Driver's License prior to scheduling the removal of this asset.
