Summary:

This robotic sand milling cell is designed to take sand blanks and machine all required gating, runners, and features directly into the mold or core. The system centers around a Kuka robot equipped with a high-speed spindle and a table that can move vertically for milling operations. This approach significantly reduces manual gating labor while improving dimensional consistency and turnaround time.
In addition to sand milling, the cell includes a pellet-fed plastic extruder, enabling large-format plastic printing for tooling, fixtures, patterns, or prototype parts.
Both working tables pictured (3D printing table and sand milling table) are also included in the purchase.
