Scope of Work – Shed Removal (Auction Item)
The successful bidder ("Purchaser") shall be solely responsible for the complete dismantling, removal, and lawful disposal or relocation of the existing 20-foot by 30-foot shed from the premises. All work shall be performed at the Purchaser’s sole expense and risk.
Scope of Responsibilities
The Purchaser’s responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Utility Disconnections
Safely disconnect, cap, and secure all electrical, drainage, mechanical, or other utility connections serving the shed, in accordance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
2. Structural Removal
Dismantle and remove all shed components, including loose framing, roofing, wall panels, flooring, anchoring systems, and tie-downs.
3. Site Restoration and Cleanup
Remove all debris, materials, fasteners, and waste generated as a result of the dismantling and removal process. The site shall be left in a clean, safe condition, free of obstructions, equipment, or hazards.
4. Compliance and Safety
Perform all work in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements related to hauling, transport, and load securing.
Removal Schedule and Deadlines
• Commencement of Removal: Removal activities shall begin within ten (10) calendar days of auction award notification.
• Completion of Removal: Complete removal of the shed, including final site cleanup, shall be achieved within fourteen (14) calendar days after commencement of work.
• Failure to Perform: Failure to meet the removal deadlines may result in forfeiture of the auctioned item and/or any payments made, at the Seller’s discretion, without liability to the Seller.
• Access Coordination: Removal activities shall be coordinated with the Seller in advance and performed only during approved access hours.
Conditions of Sale
• The shed is offered and sold “AS IS, WHERE IS,” with no warranties, express or implied.
• The Purchaser assumes full responsibility for the condition of the shed, existing site conditions, and any damage to the shed, surrounding property, or infrastructure resulting from dismantling and removal operations.
• The Seller shall not be responsible for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during or as a result of removal activities.

If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.SALES TAX
When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auction’s advertised location.Removal Policy: PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID AND REMOVED WITHIN FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE AUCTION END DATE. PAYMENT AND REMOVAL HAVE THE SAME CONCURRENT 5-BUSINESS-DAY DEADLINE. $100 DAILY STORAGE FEE APPLIES STARTING ON THE 6TH BUSINESS DAY.

If you are the successful highest/winning bidder, once your full payment has processed online, you must first print and sign the Bill of Sale where it states “Buyer/Agent Signature”. You will then need to scan the signed Bill of Sale to our office along with a copy of the account holder’s driver’s license or State ID and the prepaid mailing label with tracking to: ISD-CAPINV@miamidade.gov. The finalized Bill of Sale will be e-mailed to you with our signature and will need to be shown at the pickup location. Keep in mind assets will not be released at the pickup location unless a copy of the fully signed Bill of Sale is shown. Please note the name on the Bill of Sale will be the name on the Title. To request a name change, please email our office at ISD-CAPINV@miamidade.gov before emailing your signed copy.
NOTE A PREPAID MAILING LABEL WITH TRACKING MUST BE PROVIDED IF YOU ARE AWARDED A VEHICLE SO THAT THE TITLE/ CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION CAN BE MAILED TO YOU.
Titles, if applicable, will be prepared for mailing once our office has finalized the Bill of Sale and e-mailed it back to you. You are also required to pick up the vehicle or item at the Fire Rescue facility located at 8141 NW 80 Street, Miami, FL 33166. Please call Lt. Stacy Richard at 786-336-3074 to coordinate the removal of the item(s).
If you are the successful highest/winning bidder and wish to have a transport company or third party pick up the sale paperwork and equipment please follow the steps below:
1- From the email address that is registered in your GovDeals profile please send an email to ISD's Capital Inventory group at: ISD-CAPINV@miamidade.gov in which you attach a clear copy of your driver's license or State ID.
2- On the email, please type the full description of the vehicle to include the identifying numbers as they appear on the title of the auction.
3- On the email, please also advise the specific name of the transport company or person picking up on your behalf, and state that you "authorize this person to pick up the paperwork and vehicle on your behalf".
Once you send this email please call ISD's Capital Inventory group @ 305-594-5768 to confirm the email arrived. The designated representative of the company or the individual named should bring either a company ID or some document from the company so we can verify this information, or a valid driver’s license, as applicable.
