This car runs but does NOT drive. Must tow away for mechanical reasons. The rear axle is broken. The rear axle broke due to mechanical failure, NOT due to a collision.

Horry County Government bought this car new for use as a county police car. On or about 12/02/2020, the town of Briarcliffe Acres bought this car directly from Horry County for use as a spare town police car. It had 142,951 miles on the odometer when we bought it. At Horry County it was on the 5,000 mile county garage maintenance program. Since purchase we replaced the heater AC fan and resistor. In the past 60 days the car received an oil change and a new serpentine belt just prior to the rear axle failure. Maintenance records are not available.

At the county, this was a lettered police car, with decals. At the town, we operated the car as a spare, unmarked police car. It is silver in color with the usual scratches and dings. Power windows and power door locks work, front and rear. Air conditioning works and blows cold. There is cruise control. There is no factory cupholder but there are cigarette lighter plugs. The front push bumper, the spot light, and a class II trailer hitch without wiring are included and stay with the car. The back seat is a one piece plastic seat, not factory. The headliner was cut for a since removed in car video camera system. The red white dome "ticket" light is included. There are two non factory keys and one keyless entry remote. The ABS dash light is on, possibly for a bad rear wheel speed sensor. We were about to replace that sensor with an aftermarket part before the rear axle failed. The part is included not installed. There is no warranty for that diagnosis. No other dash warning lights are on. The engine hours are 7103.
