Airfield/Airport deicer truck with 50' boom, 525 gallon tank. Boom and sprayer are hydraulic operated.
Truck starts, runs and drives. A/C does not work.
Boom functions work. Sprayer works. The automatic rate control via dickey john controller is questionable, but manual spray control works. There is an electric air compressor behind the seat that operates the boom spray valves.
The control switch that automatically switches the hydraulic system between boom and sprayer functions does not work. A 90 degree manual turn on valve outside of cab at the hydraulic body is needed to switch between boom and spray pump functions. The cover for the hydraulics is in the cab because of this.
We do not know how many miles are on it. The instrument cluster was shorted out and inoperative when we got it in 2017. A used cluster was installed that had 243,639 miles on it. The dash currently indicates 243,703 miles (we put on 64 miles in 8 years.) The hour meter had 471 hours when we got it, and currently shows 510.8 hours.
This has always been an airport ramp deicer vehicle that was not driving around much, so the original miles are probably low.
Boom dimensions: center boom 8', each inner boom 13', each outer boom 8'
The last half of video has the boom operating and pump spraying.
