Potential Buyers are encouraged to inspect the buildings by scheduling an inspection. No fencing will be allowed to be removed for the removal of the building
Removal of the buildings needs to be completed by March 20 2026 from proof of purchase via Govdeals or walk-in payments at 202 Rue Iberville, Lafayette, LA 70508. All sales require a Bill of Sale after purchase and require a signature and notary before the sale is final.
Any building purchased from Lafayette Parish School Board (LPSS) must be moved off of LPSS property prior to re-selling the building. Buyer is responsible for moving expenses. Typical expense to move these is approximately $10,000. If a winning bidder is caught trying to re-sell their portables before they have moved them off LPSS's property, LPSS has the right to, at their discretion, immediately reimburse the winning bidder and reclaim ownership of the property.
The Contents may or may not be included .Background items may have been captured in photographs but are NOT included unless named in listing.
Buildings will be sold “as is, and where is”, with the exception of window unit A/C units. Wall pack A/C units will remain.
Aluminum ramps and steps are not part of the building and will not be sold with the building.
Buildings are to be considered as individual and complete units for the purposes of the online auction.
Winning bidder shall provide all labor and equipment to remove from the property the structure mentioned and to leave the site clean of all debris, foundation pillars, blocking, and any other items related to the building structure.
Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) will be responsible for disconnection of all electrical, communication/fire alarm wiring, plumbing, and any other utilities connected to the buildings. LPSS will also remove only the window AC units (not the wall packs (PTAC’s) prior to building removals.
Any ruts and grounds disturbance created by transport of buildings and/or equipment during this process will be the responsibility of the bidder to place back in its original condition.
Any fencing or other objects on school property that have been damaged or removed are the responsibility of the bidder to place back in its original condition.
Winning bidder is responsible for any regulatory permits and requirements and the cost of the permits.
Winning bidder must provide proof of liability insurance prior to removal of the building(s). The winning bidder shall not commence work under this contract until he has obtained all insurance required by this paragraph, and until such insurance has been approved by the Owner with an insurance company satisfactory to the Owner, nor shall the awarded bidder allow any subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until the insurance required has been obtained and submitted. Proper certificates showing such insurance is in effect shall be furnished to the Owner prior to execution of the contract, which certificates shall incorporate a provision that no cancellation or change in such insurance shall be effected for any cause without thirty (30) days written notice being given to the Owner.

Is there access to the pavilion for a truck, trailer, equipment? If not what does the access look like any pictures of gates, distance, etc to the pavilion. 02/12/2026 20:49:15 PM
There is an access point with a double gate, but the width of the gate is unknown. As a Potential Buyers you're encouraged to inspect the pavilion to ensure you get the correct answers to your questions a by scheduling an inspection prior to bidding Thanks 02/13/2026 14:46:51 PM
