Description (Main Unit)
The Gene Pulser Xcell™ main unit is part of the Gene Pulser Xcell system. The Gene Pulser Xcell system is a modular electroporation system that consists of a main unit, two accessory modules (the capacitance extender or CE module, and the pulse controller or PC module), and the ShockPod™ cuvette chamber.

Required for Operation

The main unit requires either the CE module and/or the PC module for operation.

CE module is recommended for electroporation of most eukaryotic cells, including mammalian cells and plant protoplasts
PC module is recommended for electroporation of bacteria and fungi, as well as other applications where high-voltage pulses are applied to samples of small volume and high resistance

Description (ShockPod)
The Gene Pulser Xcell™ ShockPod™ cuvette chamber includes integral leads for connection to the Gene Pulser Xcell, Gene Pulser® II, or MicroPulser™ electroporators. The Gene Pulser Xcell ShockPod cuvette chamber requires the Gene Pulser Xcell main unit along with the PC and/or CE module for operation.

Both the Main Unit and the ShockPod were purchased by a lab that closed down before they had a chance to use the equipment. They are still in their original, sealed packaging and include all manuals and cables. Essentially brand new – never used.
