  • Hello, I was under the impression that this is a government vehicle. Typically, surplus government vehicles are sold without a reserve since they are taxpayer property and are offered to the highest bidder once no longer needed by the agency. However, I noticed this vehicle has a reserve price, which is more common with dealer or private sales. I also asked about the reserve but didn’t receive a response, so I’m a bit confused. Could you please clarify—are you a government agency or a private seller? 03/31/2026 17:42:09 PM

Thanks for your question. Government agencies on GovDeals **can** choose to list items either with or without a reserve. There isn’t a rule requiring surplus government vehicles to be sold without one. A reserve simply ensures that the asset doesn’t sell below the minimum amount set by the agency. In this case, our organization opted to set a reserve. GovDeals provides this option for all government sellers. 03/31/2026 17:47:58 PM

  • What is your reserve then ? 03/31/2026 18:18:05 PM

Hello, Thanks for your continued interest. We’re not able to disclose the reserve amount, but you are welcome to continue bidding. The system will indicate when the reserve has been met. 03/31/2026 18:48:34 PM
