Hello, I was under the impression that this is a government vehicle. Typically, surplus government vehicles are sold without a reserve since they are taxpayer property and are offered to the highest bidder once no longer needed by the agency. However, I noticed this vehicle has a reserve price, which is more common with dealer or private sales. I also asked about the reserve but didn’t receive a response, so I’m a bit confused. Thanks for your question. Government agencies on GovDeals **can** choose to list items either with or without a reserve. There isn’t a rule requiring surplus government vehicles to be sold without one. A reserve simply ensures that the asset doesn’t sell below the minimum amount set by the agency.
