Available for your consideration is a 1999 Ford F-550 with a rescue body.

This truck has 49k miles and is equipped with a 7.3L V8 Turbo Diesel, Automatic Transmission, and 4WD. It was last in service in 2022 and was removed from service due to transmission issues and age.

The truck runs and drives. It was a cab and chassis vehicle that was upfitted into a rescue truck. The cab has a heavy-duty front bumper with winch. The rescue box is all aluminum with many compartments. It has a built in Lister-Petter 8.5kw diesel generator and electric Emglo air compressor. The onboard generator and air compressor work as they should, generator shows 454 hours.

This trucks catalytic converter was stolen by vandals. There is minor collision damage to the rear bumper on the passenger side and various minor issues around the truck such as burned out lights and missing/broken lenses. The truck seems to move ok around our storage yard but the department this came from reports that it was having trouble moving when fully loaded with rescue gear. A transmission replacement or service will likely be needed.

Removal

The City of Mount Holly will not ship or coordinate rigging/shipping. Pick-up appointments can be made Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Please bring a printed/digital copy of your buyer’s certificate and a valid photo ID to show during pickup. If you fail to bring these two items during pickup you will not be permitted to load out and will need to schedule another pickup.

You (the buyer) must be present during pick up. If you are unable to come to our location to load out you will need to fill and sign a release authorization form before we release the vehicle to 3rd party such as a towing company or family member/employee/friend. Contact Jake Key using the contact information within the listing after winning if you require a release authorization form.

REMOVAL: TO SCHEDULE Removal after payment has been made. Removal is by Appointment Only and all items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Title Work:

BEFORE BIDDING, please ensure the name and address on file with GovDeals.com for your account is accurate. The title will only be transferred to the individual buyer or an organization associated with the individual. NO TITLE WILL BE PROVIDED DAY OF PICKUP. Titles will be completed, notarized, and mailed to the address you have on file with GovDeals.com to arrive within two weeks of pickup.

By default, titles will be sent USPS Priority Mail at no charge to you. You may also choose to pick up the title after completion from City Administration offices located within the Mount Holly Municipal Complex at 400 E Central Ave. Mount Holly, NC 28120.
