The vehicle does start. But DOES NOT RUN once the jumper cables are removed. Unable to obtain mileage because a message stating "HOOD IS OPEN" shows where the mileage would be listed on the cluster.

yes, the vehicle does crank when jumper cables are being used to start the vehicle, but it does not continue to run once the cables are removed. A message "HOOD IS OPEN" appears where the mileage of the vehicle would show. Unable to see mileage because the message shows instead. 03/16/2026 09:11:37 AM

If you can connect a booster pack to the vehicle, then there’s no reason that you can’t report the mileage. All you have to do is push the button on the odometer when the key is in the run position and it will tell you the vehicle mileage. This is true, even if it says hood open. Please try to report the mileage. And also the engine hours by holding the odometer button while the key is in the run position 04/16/2026 20:29:34 PM
