This fire truck is not on county property. The truck is located at Goodman Specialized Vehicles in Amelia Court House, VA. Bidders who wish to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding should contact Montgomery County at mcpurchasing@montgomerycountyva.gov to schedule a time to inspect. Inspections can typically be scheduled 8am - 4pm, Mon-Fri as long as Goodman Specialized Vehicles is open. Goodman Specialized Vehicles will not answer questions about the vehicle during inspections, and no county representative will be on-site for inspections.

Property may be removed by appointment only. This item is not on County property and is not local to the County. Appointments for removal must be coordinated well in advance. Pickup times will be based on the hours of Goodman Specialized Vehicles and the availability of County staff. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. WE DO NOT SHIP!!

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer’s Certificate serves as Proof-of-Purchase and must be presented at the time of item removal.** If using a 3rd-Party agent; Buyer must provide agent with a faxed/emailed copy including their signed authorization to release their items. Buyer must notify Seller if using a Third-Party Agent.

Vehicle Titles will be issued at the time of removal.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for incorrect description must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.

Montgomery County, Virginia employees and employees of outside agencies where Montgomery County serves as the fiscal agent, and immediate family of such employees, as defined by the County, are prohibited from purchasing surplus property offered for sale by the County or by an outside agency where the County serves as fiscal agent. Employees are also prohibited from having other persons purchase surplus property on behalf of the employee.
