Description: 17-foot Boston Whaler LES (Law Enforcement Special) ‘red dot’ heavy-duty hull with Yamah F100 outboard engine and Load Rite trailer. This boat, motor and trailer need extensive repair and restoration. The boat was last in service in 2020 and has sat outdoors since then.
Condition:
- Hull: ‘Red dot’ commercial hull; no major damage or holes in hull. Extensive crazing and checking of the gelcoat. Foam may be wet. Seat, hatches, electrical system, Teleflex steering, fuel system need maintenance or replacement.
- Engine: Had major service in 2017 (new water pump, thermostats, gear oil, flush fuel system, rebuild carburetors, and new battery). Was running well in 2020 but has been unused since then.
- Trailer: Rusty in spots, coupler needs to be replaced before use; tires may have dry rot. Trailer is not roadworthy; recommend that boat and trailer are transported on a flatbed.
Paperwork:
Hull: have title issued 12/08/2017.Have last registration (valid through February 2025).
Outboard engine: have registration dated 12/08/2017
Trailer: have current registration

Removal

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of the close of the auction.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. Bidders will be locked unless a prior arrangement has been made for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.

State of Rhode Island makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.

The transfer, sale, or disposal of state-owned vehicles takes place through a three-tiered process starting with Tier (1) for State agencies, Tier (2) for municipalities, and finally Tier (3) for the public.
