Description

This is a lot of 23 X2 Tasers from the Newport Police Dept. 21 of them are in working order. 2 are non working. They do not come with batteries, holsters, or cartridges. These are sold *AS IS* Please be aware that your state may restrict or not allow civilian use of the Taser X2. The winning bidder must show proof that their state does allow use of the Taser X2. Buy agrees to pick up in person or pay for all shipping costs.

The TASER X2 is a handheld conducted electrical weapon (CEW) designed primarily for law enforcement and security use. It’s considered a “less-lethal” device, meaning it’s intended to subdue a person without using deadly force.

The X2 is roughly pistol-shaped and operates by firing small dart-like probes connected to wires. When the probes hit a target, the device sends an electrical pulse through the body that disrupts muscle control—this effect is called neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI).

Key features
Two-shot capability:
Unlike older single-shot models, the X2 can fire two separate cartridges, giving the user a backup shot if the first misses or fails.

Dual laser aiming:
It uses two laser sights to show where each probe is expected to land, improving accuracy.

Cross-connect system:
If multiple probes hit from different shots, the device can still complete an electrical circuit as long as two probes make contact.

Warning arc:
The X2 can display a visible electrical arc without firing, which can act as a deterrent.

Drive-stun mode:
If probe deployment isn’t effective, it can be pressed directly against a person to deliver a localized shock for pain compliance.

Controlled output:
It regulates electrical current to maintain effectiveness while aiming to reduce risk.
Performance and specs

Effective range: about 15 feet (4.6 m)
Typical discharge cycle: around 5 seconds per trigger pull
Powered by a replaceable battery module with hundreds of possible uses
Purpose and use

The X2 is used to temporarily incapacitate a person so they can be restrained. It’s widely adopted because it can reduce injuries compared to more forceful methods, though it still carries risks—especially if someone falls or has underlying health issues.
