Up for auction is a 2004 Hino 268 rear-load garbage truck equipped with a Heil refuse body.
The truck runs, and a video of the unit running is included with the auction listing.
Last recorded mileage: 252,312 miles as of 07/22/2024.
This unit was previously used in municipal sanitation operations and is being retired from service.
The truck is equipped with a Heil rear-load refuse body, rear loading hopper, hydraulic compaction equipment, and rear container/cart handling equipment.
Condition
The truck is currently reported to run. Please see the attached video showing the unit running.
The vehicle shows wear consistent with its age and previous municipal sanitation use. Exterior condition includes scratches, scuffs, paint wear/fading, surface rust, and other cosmetic wear.
The interior shows significant wear from use. As shown in the photographs, the seating is worn/torn in areas, and portions of the dashboard/interior trim are missing or open, with some wiring and electrical components exposed.
The Heil refuse body also shows normal wear from sanitation operations, including scratches, surface rust, and wear around the rear hopper/loading area.
The truck and refuse body have not been fully inspected or tested for this auction. No representation is made regarding the operation of all hydraulic, electrical, compaction, lifting, HVAC, or accessory systems. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the unit prior to bidding.
