Correct, this engine will pull a draft and flow 1500 gpm from a static water source, but when held to the standard of a dry leak down test it leaked down 20 inches of Hg over 5 minutes. This engine was never outfitted with hard suction and never tasked with drafting in rural operations which, I'm sure, is the reason this was never addressed. The tech who services it thinks new intake valve seals would remedy this, but the truck is being offered with caps on the 6" intakes, not valves. 04/20/2026 09:57:59 AM

The frame and body are in very good condition. The class A/B foam injection system works. With regard to leaks, please see the recent (August 2025) Level B Preventative Maintenance inspection report where on page 1, line 4, the truck was rated "Satisfactory" when inspected for engine leaks. The may be a small spot on the ground noted under the engine when we pull the trucks our weekly to wash the floors, but nothing that requires adding fluid between service intervals. I invite you or your agent to inspect/examine all aspects of this fire truck for your self at our fire station prior to bidding.
