ITEM DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION PROVIDED FROM DEPT: Thorlabs Burleigh PCS 6000 motorized micromanipulator system (no cpu): designed for patch-clamp electrophysiology and life science research. (Department states unit is in working order).
• Motion Control: Combines stepper motors and piezoelectric (PZT) control for smooth, precise translation.
• Fine Travel: 150 µm
• Resolution: Under 60 nm
• Memory Speed: Up to 3.5 mm/s
• Drift and Noise Reduction: Built with electrically quiet motors, shielded cabling, and an internal ground skeleton to prevent experimental drift and electrical interference.
• Connectivity: Includes a USB interface for computer control and a 15-pin D-sub port for a joystick.
