*Prior to removing any equipment, buyer shall provide the DOT proof of comprehensive general liability insurance coverage in an amount not less than $500,000* combined single limit.
*Buyer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the State of Iowa, the Iowa Department of Transportation, as well as their officials and employees from and against any and all claims or demands for liability, loss, damage, costs, expenses or attorney’s fees of any kind for actions or omissions of buyer arising out of or in connection with the removal of the purchased equipment.

Unit is two approx 5 foot by 7 foot units
Electricity is disconnected from the building but units will need to be unwired in a safe and legal manner
Shelving units are not included in this sale.
Buyer must safely remove the hvac lines from the exterior of the cooler without causing a release of freon. units must be handled properly and discharged by a properly qualified hvac tech.
Unit must be removed during a predetermined removal window not to exceed 72 hours,
DOT staff will be on site during all removals.
loading assistance will be minimal please plan accordingly
Any item not picked up during the removal window will be subject to forfeit and resale
current pickup times are scheduled to be the 20th 21st and 22nd of NOV 2025.

Please schedule inspections as soon as possible as we can't always accommodate last day, last minute inspections. Hours to inspect are Monday thru Thursday 9-3 we are closed Fridays thank you.

Removal
***SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE***
The buyer is responsible for all aspects of pick-up / removal, including but not limited to packing, loading, transportation and exporting. Note: Shipping is NOT available.
Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s). All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 3:00p.m., Monday through Thursday closed Fridays, excluding legal holidays. If you cannot make these pickup times please do not bid on these items. A daily storage fee of $20.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
