***SPECIAL NOTES TO BUYER***: AN EXPERIENCED CONTRACTOR MUST BE USED FOR REMOVAL. THERE WILL BE NO CONSULTING ON SITE. UNITS MUST BE REMOVED FROM PREMISES NO LATER THAN TWO (2) WEEKS AFTER THE BILL OF SALE IS ISSUED. IF NOT, AND NO EXTENSION APPROVED BY DISTRICT, BUYER FORFEITS ALL OF THEIR BID MONIES.
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LABOR AND EQUIPMENT FOR DISMANTLING AND REMOVING THE BUILDING FROM THE SITE. ALL WORK MUST BE PERFORMED BY LICENSED CONTRACTORS, AND ANY PERSONS PERFORMING WORK ON SITE MUST BE COVERED BY WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE. THE CONTRACTOR MUST PROVIDE LIABILITY INSURANCE ON ALL VEHICLES BEING USED ON SITE, AND MUST PROVIDE LIABILITY INSURANCE WITH BCSD NAMED AS AN ADDITIONAL INSURED FOR $1,000,000.
NOTE: DISMANTLING/REMOVAL OF THESE UNITS MUST BE COORDINATED WITH BCSD POINT-OF-CONTACT. SITE MUST BE LEFT INTACT, WITH NO DEBRIS OF ANY KIND LEFT BEHIND. PHYSICAL REMOVAL OF THE UNITS CANNOT OCCUR DURING START OR DISMISSAL TIMES OF THE SCHOOL DAY AND/OR DURING BALL GAMES. ADDITIONALLY, INTERNAL SCHOOL ROADS CANNOT BE BLOCKED DURING THE REMOVAL PROCESS.
ALL UNITS ARE SOLD “AS IS”, “WHERE IS”, IN PLACE AND ARE NOT WARRANTIED OR REFUNDABLE. BCSD MAKES NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES REGARDING THE FINAL CONDITION OF THE UNITS OR THEIR ABILITY TO WITHSTAND RELOCATION.
The majority of items available for sale are pre-owned and may have defects that are not immediately apparent. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the items before placing a bid. Inspections must be conducted during the specified dates and times outlined in the item description. Please refer to the special instructions on each auction page for further inspection details.
PAYMENT
If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.
Note:
1. Payment is due within 5 (five) business days of auction closure.
2. Any invoice $5,000 or above requires payment via wire transfer.
3. Depending on your history with GovDeals, you may be limited to the number of auctions/transactions that you can participate in simultaneously AND/OR the dollar amount that you can pay via credit card, debit card or PayPal. For additional insight, please visit the Probation FAQ.
SALES TAX
When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auctions' advertised location.
If you are seeking sales tax exemption, you must complete Liquidity Services’ tax exemption form(s). We recommend doing this prior to the auction’s closure or before making payment. To do so, please visit Liquidity Services' Tax Exemption Submission Tool.
All items must be removed within 10 business days from the issuance date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will only be released upon receipt of the specified payment. Successful bidders are responsible for the loading, removal, and transportation of all property awarded to them from the location specified on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The buyer is required to make all arrangements and complete any necessary tasks, including packing, loading, and transportation. Under no circumstances will Berkeley County School District assume responsibility for packing, loading, or shipping. Please refer to the special instructions on each auction page for further details regarding removal. A daily storage fee of $10.00 will be applied to any item not removed within the 10-business-day period outlined in the Buyer’s Certificate.

For pick-up appointments, please contact us via phone or email. Please note that there is no loading dock, loading equipment, or loading personnel available on-site. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide sufficient assistance for loading.
