Inspection
Most assets offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Bidders must adhere to the inspection dates and times indicated in the asset description. Inspections may be done from 9 am-3pm Monday-Friday. Please contact Elizabeth Kimsey in the Permit Center at 843-577-5550 to schedule. INSPECTION: Bidders must contact Angela Bryant at (843) 965-4184 or bryanta@charleston-sc.gov to schedule pick up.
Payment
PAYMENT: If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account. Note: 1. Payment is due within 5 (five) business days of auction closure. 2. Any invoice $5,000 or above requires payment via wire transfer. 3. Depending on your history with GovDeals, you may be limited to the number of auctions/transactions that you can participate in simultaneously AND/OR the dollar amount that you can pay via credit card, debit card or PayPal. Removal
REMOVAL: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will City of Charleston assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. ANY ITEMS NOT PICKED UP IN 10 BUSINESS DAYS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $10.00 PER DAY STORAGE FEE; PAID IN CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS. ***REMOVAL IS MADE BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY.***
