These red and blue lightbars were previously used by law enforcement and are being sold as surplus property in 'as-is' condition with no warranties, express or implied.
California law strictly regulates the use of red and blue warning lights. Under the California Vehicle Code (including Sections 25252, 25258, and related provisions), red and blue emergency lights (steady or flashing) are generally restricted to authorized emergency vehicles operated by qualified peace officers or other permitted entities. Civilian use of such lights on public roads or in a manner that could impersonate law enforcement or emergency vehicles is prohibited and may result in citations, vehicle impoundment, fines, or other legal consequences, including potential charges for impersonating a peace officer.
The buyer is solely responsible for ensuring that any use, modification, or installation of these lightbars fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the California Vehicle Code and California Code of Regulations Title 13. This includes, but is not limited to, restrictions on mounting, visibility, flashing patterns, and operation on public highways.
The County makes no representations or guarantees regarding the legality of possessing, modifying, installing, or using these items. Buyers should consult with legal counsel, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), or other appropriate authorities before any use. Off-road or private property use may have different considerations, but public road use is heavily restricted.
By purchasing this item, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that they assume all responsibility for responsible and legal use (or non-use) of the lightbar(s). The County and its agents are not liable for any misuse, violations, or resulting damages.
