BEFORE ANY PAYMENT CAN BE MADE, WE MUST CREATE AN INVOICE. WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE AUCTION HAS CLOSED, THE STATE OF SC WILL EMAIL THE HIGH BIDDER WITH DETAILED PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS. THIS EMAIL WILL BE IN ADDITION TO THE BUYER'S CERTIFICATE FROM GOVDEALS. Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Payment not received in 5 business days will result in default, and the asset will be relisted. The bidder will not be allowed to participate in future auctions. All payments must be via certified bank check, or wire transfer. The winning bidder is responsible for paying all fees associated with paying via wire transfer. Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Bank Certified Check. Bank Certified Checks shall be made payable to: The State of South Carolina. All payments are processed at the Surplus Property Office, 1441 Boston Avenue, West Columbia, South Carolina 29170. If Wire Transfer is chosen, a Wire Transfer Transaction Summary page will provide payment and account information. The Wire Transfer must also be completed within 5 business days. You are responsible for any wire transfer fees.

Removal

*REMOVAL BY APPOINTMENT ONLY* Please contact Chief Pilot Owen Barker 803-360-6122 to schedule removal All items must be removed within 10 business days from the date of sale unless otherwise noted in the special instructions. A daily storage fee may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed. The amount of the storage fee will be listed in the removal section of each asset. If after 40 business days the property is not removed, the seller can reclaim the property and resell. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will The Surplus Property Office assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 8:30a.m. - 11:30a.m. and 1:30p.m. - 3:30p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays. Special Instructions

Waiver of all liability from the State of South Carolina for loading and property removal. The winning bidder will be liable for any damage or harm that may take place during the loading and removal of property awarded to that bidder. In addition, the winning bidder shall indemnify, defend and save harmless the State of South Carolina, The Department of Administration, the Owning Agency and their representatives from any liability arising out of the winning bidder’s acts or omissions including the failure to secure adequate insurance coverage.
