Up for auction we have an SRI Gas Chromatograph Model 8610C. The SRI Model 8610C Gas Chromatograph (GC) is a versatile and popular instrument known for its compact, rugged, and highly configurable design. It is suitable for both laboratory and field use and can be customized with numerous combinations of injectors and detectors for a wide range of analytical applications.
Design and build
Portable and robust: Small enough to be carried on a plane in its protective shipping container, the 8610C is designed for durability and transportability.
Compact size: The mainframe dimensions are 18.5" W x 14.5" D x 12.5" H, with a weight of 40 to 70 pounds, depending on the configuration.
Temperature control
Programmable column oven: The air-bath column oven is programmable from ambient temperature to 400°C, with unlimited ramps and holds.
Fast cooling: The oven is designed with a fast cool-down feature to speed up analysis cycles.
Dual oven option: A dual, independently programmable oven configuration is available for complex multi-dimensional chromatography.
Pneumatics and sample introduction
Electronic Pressure Control (EPC): The GC features standard EPC for all system gases, which provides precise and reproducible gas flow and pressure regulation.
Pressure programming: The carrier gas pressure can be programmed from 0 to 100 psi.
Multiple injectors: Can be equipped with up to five injectors from a selection of 12 types. Options include standard on-column injectors, split/split-less injectors, and purge and trap systems.
This Machine was powered ON. No further testing has been completed. Please reference included photos for more details. Item may have cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs, and labels. This Machine is being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
