For Auction we have a Canon Vixia HF G40 Camcorder. The Canon VIXIA HF G40 is a compact Full HD camcorder designed for experienced videographers looking for a portable but powerful camera. Released in early 2016, it is a predecessor to later VIXIA models. It features a Canon 20x HD optical zoom lens and a highly sensitive HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor, providing high-quality video even in low light.
Features and Capabilities
Optics: The camcorder features a 20x optical zoom lens with an 8-blade circular aperture for natural-looking out-of-focus backgrounds. A manual focus ring offers precise control and can also be assigned to control the zoom.
Sensor and processor: It is equipped with a sensitive HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor and a DIGIC DV 4 Image Processor. These components provide sharp, Full HD video with good detail in a variety of lighting conditions.
Recording options: The HF G40 records video in Full HD (1920 x 1080) at up to 60fps in both MP4 and AVCHD formats. It includes two SD card slots for dual-slot or relay recording, allowing you to record continuously as one card fills up.
Manual controls: The camcorder offers extensive manual controls, including a customizable dial and assignable buttons for quick access to settings like aperture and shutter speed.
Display and viewfinder: It has a 3.5-inch OLED touchscreen for a high-contrast display and an electronic viewfinder (EVF) that can be tilted for comfortable use.
Enhanced modes: The HF G40 includes Wide DR Gamma and Highlight Priority modes, which expand the dynamic range for more natural color and detail.
Connectivity and audio: Built-in Wi-Fi and an advanced accessory shoe allow for accessories and quick file transfers. It includes headphone and microphone jacks for better audio control, though it only takes powered external microphones.
The Camcorder has been powered on. No further testing has been completed on the Camcorder. The Camcorder comes with its original packaging. This Sale includes 2 Canon Camcorder batteries, power adapter cord, and manual. Please reference included photos for more details. The Camcorder is being sold AS IS.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
