Burke County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw any listed parcel from the auction at any time before the auction ends.
Winning bidder is responsible for: A bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid must be paid within five business days after close of auction. The deposit of the bidder to whom the award is made will be held until the sale of the property is closed; if that bidder refuses at any time to close the sale, the deposit will be forfeited to the County.
Final payment and close of sale must be accomplished within 30 days after the board accepts a bid. Bidder is responsible for a 7.5% sales commission payable to Burke County and, all property surveys, deed preparation, and attorney and recording costs associated with the deed transfer.

The property is free and clear with no money owed. Regarding any restrictions or sewer/water availability those are questions would best be answered by the City of Morganton Development and Design Services Department since the property is inside the city limits.
