For Auction we have a ConMed Helix AR Electrosurgical Generator. The ConMed Helix AR is an advanced Electrosurgical generator with Argon Beam Coagulation (ABC®) technology, used in surgical procedures to provide hemostasis (stop bleeding) and cut tissue. The model number 60-8800-120 refers to the system including the generator and a compatible cart. 


Features and Capabilities
Technology: Combines standard electrosurgery (monopolar and bipolar) with Argon Beam Coagulation technology, which uses a stream of argon gas to deliver focused RF energy to tissue.
Dynamic Response: Features proprietary Dynamic Response Technology that reacts to tissue impedance changes in less than 10 ms to minimize unintentional tissue charring.
Surgical Modes: Includes a variety of modes for different surgical needs:
Monopolar Modes: Pure Cut, Blended Cut (levels 1–3), Pulse Cut, Pulse Coagulation, Spray Coagulation, Standard Coagulation, Pinpoint Coagulation.
Bipolar Modes: Macro Coagulation, Micro Coagulation.
Specialty Modes: Laparoscopic (limits voltage to 2700V to reduce the risk of burns), Fluids (for procedures in high load/low impedance conditions), Pulse Coag.
ABC® Modes: Open (automatic flow), Lap (reduced maximum flow for minimally invasive procedures), Manual (adjustable flow), Argon Dissect, Pulse Argon.

Display: Features a color LCD display.
Gas Management: Equipped with two argon gas tanks with automatic switchover capability.
Safety Monitoring: Provides continuous microprocessor safety monitoring and actively monitors RF leakage with the ARMPAD contact quality monitor.
User Controls: Allows for remote power control via an electrosurgical pencil and is compatible with optional wireless foot switch kits.
Program Mode: Can store up to 100 custom surgical settings. 


Clinical Benefits
Rapid Hemostasis: ABC technology allows for rapid, superficial hemostasis, which can result in less blood loss and reduced operating room time.
Less Tissue Damage: The cooling effects of the argon gas flow allow the system to operate at lower temperatures compared to standard spray coagulation, minimizing tissue damage and carbonization.
Improved Visualization: The argon gas flow helps to carry surgical smoke away from the operative site, reducing odors and improving the surgeon's field of view.
