For Auction is a Stratagene UV Stratalinker 2400. The Stratagene UV Stratalinker 2400 is a high-capacity benchtop ultraviolet crosslinker designed for molecular biology applications, specifically for bonding nucleic acids to membranes. It is significantly larger than the Stratalinker 1800 model, making it suitable for larger membranes or high-throughput workflows.
Features and Capabilities
Rapid Processing: Completes the crosslinking of DNA or RNA to nylon or nitrocellulose membranes in 25–50 seconds, compared to the 2 hours required for traditional oven baking.
Operating Modes: Features three primary modes—Autocrosslink (preset for standard protocols), Time (0.1–999.9 minutes), and Energy (microjoule/cm² adjustment).
Internal Photodetector: Automatically compensates for the natural power output shift of aging UV bulbs to maintain consistent dosage.
Primary Applications: Used for Northern, Southern, dot, or slot blot analysis, colony/plaque screening, and UV sterilization of PCR samples.
The UV Stratalinker has been powered on. No further testing has been completed beyond what you see in the included media. The UV lights shut off properly when the door is opened. The Stratalinker may show cosmetic wear such as scuffs and sticker labels. The System comes with what is documented in the photos. Please reference the included media and model number for more information. The UV Stratalinker is being sold AS IS.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Any inspections that occur must be done by appointment only.
Payment
If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
