For Auction we have a Verathon BladderScan BVI 3000. The Verathon BladderScan BVI 3000 is a portable, 3D ultrasound instrument designed to noninvasively measure urinary bladder volume and post-void residual (PVR). It is widely used in clinical settings to assess urinary retention, evaluate urological conditions, and help prevent unnecessary catheterization, which reduces the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
Features and Capabilities
VMODE Technology: Unlike conventional 2D ultrasound, the BVI 3000 uses patented VMODE technology to create a 3-dimensional image, providing more accurate volume calculations.
Automatic Measurements: It can obtain precise readings of bladder volume in less than five minutes.
Targeting Guidance: The device features a unique aiming icon and LCD screen that guides the operator for optimal probe placement.
Gender-Specific Modes: Distinct scan modes are available for men and women (accommodating differences like a previous hysterectomy) to ensure measurement accuracy.
Documentation: Results can be printed directly from the unit for patient records or reimbursement documentation.
Usage & Clinical Application
Noninvasive Diagnostics: Used to diagnose conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), and various types of incontinence.
Postoperative Monitoring: Helps monitor recovery and identify postoperative urinary retention (POUR).
Operational Efficiency: Because it is easy to use and requires no trained sonographer, it saves staff time and reduces patient trauma compared to invasive catheterization.
The BladderScan has been powered on. The BladderScan has not been tested further. The System does not come with a power cord or charger. The Cart that the System is attached to rolls properly. The BladderScan may show cosmetic wear such as scuffs and stickers. Please reference the included photos and model numbers for more details. The BladderScan is being sold AS IS.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Any inspections that occur must be done by appointment only.
Payment

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
