For Auction is an AccuVein AV500 Device. The AccuVein AV500 is a portable, handheld vein visualization device that uses near-infrared (NIR) technology to project a real-time, high-resolution map of superficial veins directly onto a patient's skin. This non-contact technology is designed to help medical professionals locate optimal veins for procedures like IV starts, blood draws, and cosmetic injections, improving first-stick success and patient comfort.
Features and Capabilities
The AV500 is designed to be lightweight, easy to use, and durable for clinical environments.
Technology: Uses a low-power, Class 1 laser and near-infrared (NIR) imaging to detect the hemoglobin in blood, making veins appear as a clear green projection on the skin.
Design: Handheld and lightweight, weighing only 10 ounces (275g). Its permanently aligned system means no calibration is required, offering "True Center™" accuracy.
Operation: Features simple one-button operation and an inverse color mode to enhance visibility for different skin tones or lighting conditions.
Battery: Integrated Li-Ion battery provides approximately 2 hours of continuous run time on a full charge.
Compatibility: Works on all patient types, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with difficult venous access. It is also MRI safe.
The Device has not been powered on. The Device has not been tested. The Device does not come with a charger, dock, or any other cords. The Device may show cosmetic wear such as scuffs and stickers. Please reference included photos and Device model number for more details. The AccuVein AV500 Device is being sold AS IS.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Any inspections that occur must be done by appointment only.
Payment
If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.
Note:
1. Payment is due within 5 (five) business days of auction closure.
2. Any invoice $5,000 or above requires payment via wire transfer.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
