Description

North American Bidders Only.

For Auction is an Olympus DP73 Camera and U-TRU Camera Port with a Diagnostic Instruments DBX Camera Adapter.

The Olympus DP73 is a high-resolution digital microscope camera designed for scientific, educational, and industrial imaging applications, not general photography. It is primarily used with Olympus microscope systems and associated software like cellSens or OLYMPUS Stream.

Features
Resolution: The camera uses pixel-shifting technology to achieve an ultra-high resolution of 17.28 megapixels (4872 x 3248). A special "3-CCD mode" enhances color resolution by capturing full RGB values for each pixel.
Sensor: It features a high-performance, color cooled CCD sensor.
Sensitivity: The DP73 offers a broad sensitivity range of ISO100-1600, which allows for capturing clear images even in low-light conditions, particularly useful for fluorescence microscopy.
Live Imaging: It provides a fluid, high-definition live image at up to 15 frames per second, which simplifies focusing and scanning large samples.
Color Reproduction: The camera supports the Adobe® RGB color space and uses advanced algorithms to reproduce subtle color differences with high accuracy.

The Olympus U-TRU is an intermediate tube accessory for Olympus BX and CX series microscopes that allows a camera to be attached for photomicrography. It is not a standalone camera.

Features
Function: The U-TRU acts as a beam splitter, fitting between the microscope body and the observation head, to divert a portion of the light path to a side camera port while maintaining the image in the eyepieces for viewing.
Compatibility: It is primarily designed for use with the Olympus BX series and most CX series microscopes.
Design: The U-TRU port exits at a 90° angle by default, which is convenient for a standard microscope setup. In contrast, the U-TRUS version offers more flexibility with risers for different ergonomic heads.
Usage: To attach a camera, a separate C-mount adapter is required, which fits into the U-TRU port. The adapter can be adjusted to ensure the image on the camera and through the eyepieces is parfocal (in focus at the same time).

The Olympus Diagnostic Instruments DBX Camera Adapter is a specific accessory for Olympus BX series microscopes that allows a camera (typically with a C-mount) to be attached to the trinocular head or photo port.

The Olympus Instruments have not been tested. The Instruments appear to be in good condition. The Instruments may show signs of cosmetic wear such as scuffs and scrapes. The Olympus Instruments come with what you see in the photos (no cords or power sources etc..) Please reference the included photos and Olympus Instrument model numbers for more information. The Olympus Instruments are being sold AS IS.
