This tank was previously used to store BIOXIDE®, a calcium-nitrate-based product used for odor and corrosion control in wastewater systems.
Current contents: Approximately 100 gallons remain
The tank has NOT been professionally cleaned, decontaminated, or certified free of chemical residue. BIOXIDE residue, deposits, moisture, or vapors may remain inside the tank and associated fittings.
The tank must not be considered clean or suitable for potable water, drinking water, food, animal feed, fuel, septic use, or any other particular application. The Town makes no representation concerning the tank’s cleanliness, chemical compatibility, structural integrity, or suitability for reuse.
A Safety Data Sheet for the specific BIOXIDE product previously stored in the tank is attached to this listing. Prospective buyers are responsible for reviewing the SDS before inspecting, handling, transporting, cleaning, or reusing the tank.
The buyer assumes responsibility for:
Using appropriate personal protective equipment
Safely handling any remaining residue
Cleaning or decontaminating the tank
Determining compatibility with its proposed use
Complying with all applicable transportation, environmental, workplace-safety, and disposal requirements
Preventing any residue or rinse water from being discharged onto the ground, into a storm drain, sanitary sewer, or body of water without proper authorization
The tank is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with all faults and possible residual contamination. Inspection is strongly encouraged and is available by appointment only.
REMOVAL:
The buyer is responsible for all labor, equipment, rigging, loading, securing, and transportation. The Town will not provide cleaning, disposal, or shipping services.
No entry into the tank is permitted while it remains on Town property. No cutting, rinsing, draining, dismantling, or other work may be performed on Town property without prior written authorization.
Only the tank and fittings shown in the photographs are included. Pumps, piping, hoses, controls, and other equipment are excluded unless specifically identified.

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
