Airport Broom

Offered for sale is a 1998 Stewart & Stevenson SST-300H high-performance airport runway broom (also known as a snow removal or FOD control unit). This machine was manufactured by Stewart & Stevenson, a respected producer of heavy-duty airport maintenance and ground support equipment.

This broom was reported to be running well when parked in 2017. It has not been operated since that time but appears complete and in solid condition for its age.

Powerplant: Diesel engine (likely Detroit Diesel or Cummins, model unspecified)

Condition: Used; operational condition unknown, but ran well when last used in 2017.

This Stewart & Stevenson SST-300H was built for airport maintenance operations and is designed to efficiently clear snow, ice, and debris from runways and taxiways. Known for robust construction and long service life, these models remain in active use across North American airports.

Unit has been stored outdoors. The exterior paint and body panels show typical weathering for age. Instrumentation and engine compartment appear largely intact. Operational testing has not been performed since storage began.

Removal

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of the close of the auction.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. Bidders will be locked unless a prior arrangement has been made for any item not removed within the ten (10) business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
