Up for Auction by the City of Elyria is a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD REGULAR CAB PICKUP 2-DR, 6.6L V8 OHV 32V TURBO DIESEL. The truck is equipped with a flatbed that includes a diesel and gasoline storage containers. The City of Elyria Purchased the truck new in December of 2001 where is was utilized by the City of Elyria Cemetery Department for the entirety of its service life. The truck was removed from service in December of 2025 due to equipment rotation. At the time of removal the City of Elyria Central Maintenance Garage conducted an inspection on the truck. It was determined that the vehicle would require a full brake system replacement. Rust was observed on the underside of the vehicle and on the vehicle frame. Additional issued may exist. It is strongly recommended that you personally inspect the truck prior to bidding. See the attached photographs and video for further description. Attached to the truck is a Western Ultra Mount snow plow mount and a Western Pro Plus Ultra Finish snow plow. The snow plow mount and snow plow work as designed. See Video for further description.

SALES TAX

Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate. ALL VEHICLES SOLD BY POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH A SALVAGED TITLE WILL NEED TO BE TOWED OUT FOR REMOVAL
