The Town of Southern Pines is offering for sale a custom-built executive conference table originally commissioned in 2013 at a cost exceeding $60,000 and believed to be crafted with wood native to North Carolina.
Key Specifications:
• Length: Approximately 19 feet
• Width: Approximately 10.2 feet at the center, tapering to 8 feet at each end
• Configuration: Tabletop rests on three pedestal bases
• Transport: Tabletop disassembles into four equal sections
• Hardware: All hardware required for reassembly is included
IMPORTANT: This table is extremely large. Please measure your space carefully before bidding. All sales are final.
Condition:
The table shows minor wear consistent with approximately 13 years of use but remains in excellent overall condition with no major damage or structural defects.
Background Information:
The Town does not have original documentation regarding the table’s construction or materials. However, the previous owner advised the following:
• The table was custom commissioned and hand-crafted in 2013 (craftsman unknown).
• Wood used is believed to be native to North Carolina, including reclaimed “river wood” recovered from lakes, rivers, and ponds.
From the outer edges toward the center, the woods are believed (but not guaranteed) to include:
• Cherry
• Black Walnut
• Maple
• Black Walnut accent strip
• A highly figured dark wood (possibly mahogany)
• The original purchase and installation cost exceeded $60,000 in 2013.
Removal Requirements:
All components are very heavy. The successful bidder must bring adequate personnel and equipment to remove and load the table.
The Town cannot assist with disassembly, moving, or loading due to liability restrictions.

Have a question or looking to schedule an appointment?
Unsure if the description that the tabletop disassembles in to 4 sections is the top and three bases or if the top itself separates into 4 pieces? And if so, what are the dimensions of the various top pieces and how are they joined? Thanks! 03/23/2026 14:54:21 PM
Hello, The tabletop itself disassembles into four equal sections, and those four equal sections sit on top three pedestal bases when assembled. When assembled, the tabletop is approximately 19 feet long by 10 ft wide in the center and tapering to 8 feet wide on each end. When in sections, each section is approximately 9.5 feet long by 5 ft feet long on the end that connects in the middle of the table and tapering to 4 feet on the other end. The various pieces are joined together using dowels, rotating cam locks, pressure plates, and screws. 03/23/2026 15:51:04 PM
