Removal

Removal. All assets must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Seller assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. See instructions on each asset page for removal details. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the ten (10) business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Special Instructions

Award shall be made to the highest responsive and responsible bidder provided that the price offered by such bidder is deemed reasonable by the chief procurement officer or his designee. Where such price is not deemed reasonable, the bids may be rejected in whole, or in part, and the sale negotiated beginning with the highest bidder provided the negotiated sale price is higher than the highest responsive and responsible bid.

Winning bidder must contact Laurie Martinez to schedule pickup at least 24 hours in advance at martinezl@fortmillschools.org or at 803-548-8430. You may request a pickup date and time during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am - 3 pm (minus pick-up and drop-off of student times), except for holidays and special summer hours. Fort Mill School District is closed on most Fridays during June and July. Please send all requests for the pickup via email and be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached.
