"Florida sales and use tax, plus any applicable discretionary sales surtax, is due on all new or used motor vehicles sold, leased, delivered into, imported into, or used in Florida, unless a specific exemption applies. Florida sales and use tax is due on the sales price of the motor vehicle, including any separately itemized charge or fee for items. Any separately itemized fee or charge mandated by a state law for titling, licensing, or registering the motor vehicle, or for recording a lien on the motor vehicle, is not subject to tax."
Per the attached Tax Information Publication, Florida law allows a partial exemption of sales and use tax to be collected on a motor vehicle purchased by a resident of another state.. The buyer (bidder) should provide a completed Form DR-123 to the Seller.

Per the terms of the contract (MOU) between UWF and GovDeals, the Buyer (bidder) must provide any applicable tax exempt documents to Gov Deals within 24 hours of the auction closing and before payment is made.
