Removal: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Buyer is responsible for paying the 7.00% sales tax over the final sell price. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading, and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will City of Waycross assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. A daily storage fee of $10.00 will be charged for any items not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

The City of Waycross does not collect sales tax on vehicles sold on GovDeals. If you are a Georgia resident it is the buyer's responsibility to pay the ad valorem tax in the county in which you reside,when applying for title. The ad valorem tax is based on the fair market value of the vehicle and not the purchase price. If you are an out of state buyer and are tax exempt,you must supply the City of Waycross with an ST8 form prior to receiving your title from us. If you are not tax exempt you will be required to pay the sales taxes in the state where you reside.
