The St. Charles County Facilities department has a set of 117 Detention Shelves they would like to sell. Shelves are an American Specialties Inc (ASI) Model #128-1 (see manufacturer's description below) bookshelf with clothes hood strip for wall mount. These are used in high security environments, and the hooks are anti-ligature. Some shelves were installed and then removed; others were not installed. Never in use. Item is sold as is and buyer is responsible for pick-up. There will not be any county employees available to help with pick up. Manufacturer’s product description: Fabricated of type 304 stainless steel alloy 18-8. Back plate and bookshelf are 14 gauge. Clothes hooks are solid bar 3/8"
Dia. [Ø10] of one-piece construction with 1" Dia. [Ø25] swivel trip-ball. Safety hooks snap down when load exceeds 35 lb (16 kg) limit. Trip-ball socket housing prevents hook from being set in vertical-up position. The unit is provided with six (6) clear mounting holes that shall accept (supplied) 1/4"-20 or [M6] stainless steel pin-Torx® button head machine screws.

SALES TAX

If winning bidder chooses to use a third party shipper, the purchaser will be required to sign an Authorization of Release form, and provide copy of credit card user’s driver’s license. Third party shippers will be required to sign the Bill of Sale and provide their photo ID before taking possession of the asset(s).
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance and between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate. **Buyer is responsible for any or all pickup, shipping, delivery and associated cost for items awarded. No County staff will be available to assist with loading of items.**
