It is imperative that if mailed that payment arrives within the 5 business days of the awarded bid, if payment is not received within this time frame the unit will be relisted the following business day and the buyers account is subject to GovDeals payment default rules. The account will also be listed as nonpayment and bared from bidding on any further items from the City of North Augusta indefinitely. It is up to the buyer to ensure that proper mailing has been done on their part, and we highly recommend using overnight and/or certified mail with a tracking number to ensure proper delivery. The City of North Augusta is not responsible for lost mail and if payment arrives after the 5 business days the buyer will be notified, and the payment will be mailed certified back to the buyer.
