BL27-04 - The New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) is soliciting offers to purchase ten (10) decommissioned buses (2008-2010 NABI/416.15.02/416.15.81/416.15.03-01 Bus 5413, 5384, 5433, 5373, 5418, 5436, 5597, 5609, 5614, and 5745). The tires are NOT included but can be purchased separately. Buses are located at 442 Avenue P, Newark NJ 07105.
Buses have reached the end of their useful life and are being retired from service. Buses are not in driving condition and towing will be required to remove them from the property.
The buses will be sold in “as is” “where is” condition and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Solicitation. If a third party is picking up material, we are not responsible for lost material.
***Due to liability issues, the bid winner will be REQUIRED to TOW/FLATBED the buses from the lot. No prep-work, mechanical or otherwise, except for tow purposes, will be allowed***
Purchase price does NOT include tires, though they can be purchased separately. A certified check for $20,702.59 is required for the tires at the time of the initial bus pickup. There is no buyer's premium added to the check. *** The check will be returned when the tires are returned to 601 Doremus Avenue Newark NJ 07105. *** It is the buyer’s responsibility to return all tires back within 21 days. If not returned during the accepted time frame the check will be cashed and no refund given. The buyer can keep the rims. SALES TAX
When applicable, sales tax is calculated based upon the auction’s advertised location.If you are seeking sales tax exemption, you must complete Liquidity Services’ tax exemption form(s). Suppression
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
Third-Party Pickup: Third-Party Pickup Person(s) must bring printed copies of the following documents. Lots will not be released without these documents and no exceptions will be made. New Jersey Transit is not responsible for any shipping costs or invoices from shipping companies.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' New Jersey Transit, NJ makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
