Buyer Responsibilities
The awarded buyer is responsible, at the buyer's sole cost and risk, for all of the following:
De-installation: Physical removal of all equipment from the racks, including unbolting, unmounting, rail removal, and any rack disassembly required for removal.
Packing: Palletization, crating, anti-static handling, and any specialized packing. Certain IBM systems may require specialized crating (for example, Arbo crates) with extended procurement lead times; sourcing these is the buyer's responsibility.
Transportation: Loading, transport, insurance in transit, and shipment of all equipment from the QTS facility to the buyer's destination.
Labor, tools, and equipment: All movers, lift tools, dollies, and personnel required for safe removal, including any specialized handling for heavy or liquid-cooled systems such as the IBM z16 mainframe.
OEM license / Machine Code transfer: Any OEM license, entitlement, or Machine Code transfer (for example, IBM Machine Code via IBM's GARS or broker-mediated process, or Cisco Smart Licensing) is the buyer's responsibility and is handled directly with the OEM

If you are the winning bidder, you will facilitate payment by referring to the My Bids section of your account.Note:

SALES TAX

HOURS FOR PICKING UP PROPERTY ARE:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 8:00 am-11am and 1pm to 3pm.

All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided.
ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

The Buyer’s Certificate serves as Proof-of-Purchase and must be presented at the time of item removal.** If using a 3rd-Party agent; Buyer must provide agent with a faxed copy including their signed authorization to release their items. Buyer must notify Seller if using a Third-Party Agent. If your third-party utilizes a semi-truck and trailer. Please request that they park on Oliver Hill Way, and call the contact number, and we will bring the items out to them.
Vehicle Titles will be issued at the time of removal.

All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” Virginia Commonwealth University makes no warranty, guaranty, or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for incorrect description must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property
