Listing on behalf on the Sewer Department:
Generac SG80 Permanently mounted stationary Generator. Purchased in 2021, started using it in March of 2022 with 88 hours on the unit. The generator has a defective motor with a cracked block on both sides, so the city decided to purchase a new one instead of repairing it, due to a delay in getting parts. Unit was serviced regularly before issues.
3-Phase, 80 KW, 120 AMP, 1800 RPM. No equipment/assistance is available for loading; the buyer will need to make their own arrangements to load and transport. Inspection is available and encouraged prior to bidding, with prior coordination, Monday-Friday 8am-3pm. Please call Simpsonville City Hall: 502-722-8110 and ask for Bryan.

Is it copper coil or, what kind of coil? Any idea of the estimated cost of repair for the defective motor with a cracked block on both sides? What's the KVA? Thanks 03/07/2026 15:48:46 PM
I'm not completely certain, but it’s believed to be a copper coil. A photo of the KVA is attached in the pictures for more details. We aren't sure about the cost, but the main issue was the timeline. Timeline-wise, we were able to get a new generator installed before the parts arrived for the old one. 03/11/2026 18:19:18 PM

This generator ran on propane gas. It is recommended that you research the model number to see if it could possibly run on alternative fuel. 03/11/2026 18:15:53 PM

The buyer is responsible for all aspects of pick-up / removal, including but not limited to packing, loading, transportation and exporting. Note: Shipping is NOT available.
Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s).
