***APPOINTMENT ONLY*** Removal is by APPOINTMENT ONLY
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. Monday -Friday 8-4pm. If item(s) are not removed in the allotted 10 business days, bidder will be defaulted.
APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LOADING AND REMOVAL OF ANY AND ALL PROPERTY AWARDED TO THEM FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE FORFEIT OF BID.
THE CITY DOES NOT SHIP OR HANDLE SHIPPING THIS INCLUDES PALLETIZING.
IN ORDER FOR A PURCHASE TO BE RELEASED TO A 3RD PARTY THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED; SIGNED BILL OF SALE BY BUYER, A COPY OF "BUYER" DRIVER LICENSE, AND AUTHORIZATION OF RELEASE OF GOODS FORM COMPLETED BY BUYER. FOR VEHICLE PURCHASES A TITLE RELEASE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY BUYER. ALL ITEMS MUST BE EMAILED TO THE SELLER'S ACCOUNT PRIOR TO PICKUP. 3RD PARTY PERSONS SHOULD NOT BE IN CONTACT WITH SELLER IF PROPER DOCUMENTATION HAS NOT BEEN SUBMITTED.

Pursuant to G.S. 160A-270 and Title III, Chapter 34 of the City of Monroe Code of Ordinances, staff is required to seek City Council approval when the fair market value of surplus personal property is believed to or exceeds $30,000. Pickup is contingent upon Council approval.
