Up for auction is a Vermeer BC1400 chipper removed from city service.
The unit was taken out of service following a manufacturer recall believed to be related to the push bar assembly. The City discontinued use at that time and placed the machine in indoor storage.
The hour meter reads approximately 729.3 hours. The unit previously started and operated prior to being removed from service.

Pickup:
Winning bidder is responsible for removal and transportation. Items must be picked up within the specified time frame after auction close.

not sure how long the machine was taken out of service. Pevious public works director is no longer here to confirm. Machine was removed from service due to recall. Machine was in good working order when removed from service. Machine starts and runs now with a jump. 02/24/2026 07:07:03 AM

The buyer is responsible for all aspects of pick-up / removal, including but not limited to packing, loading, transportation and exporting. Note: Shipping is NOT available.
Removal is by appointment only. All items must be picked-up / removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item(s) is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item(s) may be declared abandoned.
At the time of pick-up / removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s).
