PAYMENT
If you are the winning bidder, you can facilitate payment by visiting the My Bids section of your account.
Note:
- Payment is due within 7 (seven) calendar days of auction closure for invoices under $5,000. Regardless of weekends or holidays, the deadline is 7 days.
- For invoices of $5,000 or more, payment is due within 7 (seven) calendar days of auction closure and must be made via wire transfer. Regardless of weekends or holidays, the deadline is 7 calendar days.
- Depending on your history with GovDeals, you may be limited in the number of auctions/transactions you can participate in simultaneously and/or the dollar amount you can pay via credit card, debit card, or direct debit. For more details, please visit the Probation FAQ.
- The buyer will automatically be deemed in default, and their account will be locked if they require shipping for an item but pay the invoice before arranging delivery costs with the seller.
- If the buyer is deemed in default for any reason (failure to pick up the item within the specified timeframe, paying the invoice before arranging delivery if required, failure to adhere to bidding restrictions, or any other violation), the item will be considered abandoned, no refunds will be issued, and the seller reserves the right to dispose of the item at their sole discretion.
SALES TAX
When applicable, sales tax is calculated based on the auction’s advertised location.
If you are seeking sales tax exemption, you must complete Liquidity Services’ tax exemption form(s). We recommend doing this prior to the auction’s closure or before making payment. To complete the form, visit Liquidity Services' Tax Exemption Submission Tool.
Retirada
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 72 hours in advance by sending an email to the email listed on your buyer's certificate. All items must be removed within ten (10) days from the time and date of the close of the auction.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property, except if shipping is required and paid. No loading assistance will be provided. Bidders will be locked unless a prior arrangement has been made for any item not removed within the ten (10) days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
A STORAGE FEE OF $50 PER DAY WILL BE CHARGED IF ITEM(S) ARE NOT REMOVED/PICKED UP AFTER THE 10-DAY DEADLINE. THIS DELAY INCLUDES WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. IF THE ITEM(S) ARE NOT PICKED UP WITHIN AN ADDITIONAL 7 DAYS, THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED, AND THE BIDDER WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE DEFAULTED. THIS WILL RESULT IN THE SUSPENSION OF THE GOVDEALS ACCOUNT, AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RE-AUCTION OR DISPOSE OF THE ITEM(S).
The seller:
- will not be held responsible for any damage to any items.
- will not be held responsible for any personal injury that occurs during, or as a result of the removal.
- will not be responsible for damage to its property that occurs during the removal.
- will not provide any labour assistance with removal.
- will not be responsible for any shipping, packaging, delivery, duties, import fees, taxes or any other charges.
- will not be responsible for preparing any documentation foreign or domestic.
ITEMS TO BE SHIPPED MUST NOT BE PAID UNTIL HANDLING FEE IS ADDED.
FOR WILL SHIP ITEMS : IF BUYER WINS ITEM AND REQUESTS SHIPPING, SEND AN EMAIL TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE BUYER'S CERTIFICATE AND WE WILL PROVIDE SHIPPING COSTS FROM DIFFERENT CARRIERS.
FOR SHIPPING ONLY ITEMS: WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY ADD THE SHIPPING COST AND HANDLING FEE BASED ON THE CHEAPEST CARRIER AVAILABLE AND THE ADDRESS REGISTERED ON GOVDEALS. BUYER MUST MAKE SURE TO UPDATE THE ADDRESS IN HIS/HER PROFILE BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EXTRA COSTS OR FOR ITEMS SHIPPED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS DUE TO THE BIDDER FAILING TO UPDATE THE ADDRESS.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WE WILL ACCEPT A PREPAID LABEL OR BILL TO THE BUYER'S CARRIER ACCOUNT.
