For Auction we have a Stryker Lucas 2 Chest Compression System. The department we received the System from told us that the bellows need to be replaced and that the Compressions were possibly not at the correct depth and strength; Therefore we are selling the System for Parts & Repair.
The Stryker Lucas 2 Chest Compression System is a portable, automated medical device that performs high-quality, consistent mechanical CPR for patients in cardiac arrest. It is designed to provide continuous compressions according to American Heart Association guidelines, freeing up rescuers for other tasks and enhancing safety during transport.
Features and Capabilities
Automated Compressions: Delivers compressions at a consistent rate of 100 per minute and a depth of 1.5 to 2 inches (4 to 5 cm), independent of rescuer fatigue.
Power Source: The LUCAS 2 is electrically powered, operating on a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery. It can also be connected to a wall or car electrical outlet for prolonged operation.
Portability: The system is lightweight and comes in a carrying case, allowing for easy transport and rapid application with minimal interruption to manual CPR (less than 20 seconds).
Components: It consists of a back plate placed under the patient and an upper compression module with a disposable suction cup that adheres to the chest to ensure effective force transmission.
Improved Outcomes: Studies have shown that mechanical compressions from the LUCAS device can sustain higher blood flow to the brain and heart compared to manual methods.
The System has been powered on. The System has not been tested any further than what appears on the included media. The System comes with 2 batteries, a battery charger, back plate, bag, and users manual. Again this System is being sold under Parts & Repair. Please reference the included media and System model number for more information. The Compression System is being sold AS IS.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Any inspections that occur must be done by appointment only.

Retirada
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. After paying for your auction you can make your make your appointment by going to our bidder porthole and registering with our system. You will then have access to our calendar where you can make your appointment, Hours of pickup are Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm. (close for lunch from 12pm to 12:30pm) We are closed on all University Holidays.
Items will not be released if buyer fails to make an appointment.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Pallets or containers that items are on or in are not included. No Assistance will be provided. Any item left after the 10 day limit will be relisted, buyers will be subject to GovDeals policies.
Purchaser is solely responsible for the loading and transportation.
The University disclaims all liability for injury or property damage associated with this purchase.
The University of Iowa Surplus Department does not provide or prepare items for shipping (except for certain clothing items) however there are local companies that will prepare and ship items from our location.
If items are shipped at your request by paying for the shipping you are agreeing that assets are sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid.
If you are contracting with a freight company,
DO NOT LIST UI SURPLUS AS THE SHIPPER.
You must list yourself (the buyer) as the shipper (we would be considered the destination).
Any bill of ladings with The University of Iowa or our staff members as the shipper will be denied. ALL T-FORCE SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE TO BE BE SCHDULED THROUGH THE LOCAL UPS STORE OR WILL BE DENIED
