Every night, this poor Thunderbird sits alone, wondering where it all went wrong. Was it something it said? Was it the missing engine? Was it the fact that most of its interior packed up and left years ago without even leaving a forwarding address?
We may never know.
What we do know is that this beautiful two-door survivor has a clean and clear Arizona title and fewer than 72,000 original miles. That's right. Under 72,000 miles. Somewhere along the line, someone apparently decided it was easier to remove the drivetrain than simply continue driving it.
The engine is gone, presumably having followed its dreams elsewhere. The transmission remains faithfully at its post. The legendary Ford 9-inch rear end is still there too, patiently waiting for someone to believe in it again.
The interior is mostly missing. On the bright side, you'll spend less time removing old upholstery.
This Thunderbird is the automotive equivalent of that three-legged shelter dog with one eye that somehow still wags its tail when people walk by. It deserves a second chance. It deserves a home. It deserves someone who looks at a car missing half its organs and says, "I can fix her."
Is it complete? Absolutely not.
Is it running? Nope
Is it judging me for putting it up for sale? Almost certainly.
