At the seller’s discretion, inspection may be permitted. Inspection is by appointment only and requires 48 hours' notice. Appointments are available Monday through Friday only.

Buyers may pick these items up in person, or our office can assist in shipping. To schedule a local pickup or inquire about shipping, please call the NYS Office of General Services at (518) 457-3757.

For Local Pickup:

Pickup appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm only with at least 24 hours' notice. Appointment times must be confirmed by the site contact at a mutually agreeable time. Confirmation of cleared payment by GovDeals is required for an appointment to be made.

All items must be picked up/removed within 10 (ten) business days from auction closure, unless otherwise stated in the asset description. If any item is not removed within the allotted timeframe, the item will be declared abandoned, and the buyer will receive no financial compensation.

At the time of pick-up/removal, you will be required to present the seller with a copy of your Buyer’s Certificate and/or bill of sale, and potentially other documentation (e.g., copy of driver's license, Authorization of Release, etc). When making a removal appointment, please confirm with the seller what is needed to release the item(s).

For Shipping:

Shipping is available within the continental United States, following the criteria below:

📦NYS Office of General Services will only ship via FedEx or USPS.

📦NYS Office of General Services will be responsible for shipping materials only.

📦Customer-Provided Labels: You must generate and provide a prepaid shipping label from either FedEx or USPS. We do not calculate or purchase shipping labels for customers.

📦Zero Liability & No Insurance: State Surplus is not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or damaged during transit. We do not provide shipping insurance. To protect your purchase, we strongly recommend that you purchase additional shipping insurance directly with your carrier.

Please note: Attempting to ship an item outside of the U.S. will result in a canceled sale.
